Becoming Conscious is Tricky!
When we first start to become conscious of our actions it becomes easy to blame our lack of tolerance for where someone else is in their journey on their lack of consciousness. It’s a common pitfall to this journey…one that ego uses to trip us up and keep us bound to it.
Instead of moving deeper into alignment with peace, ego pulls us back into conflict through its judgment of others who are still acting out of their own unconsciousness. Pretty tricky, right?
I remember getting so frustrated with a friend of mine when I first started to become conscious of my choices and she wasn’t conscious of hers. I just wanted to shake her and make her aware of how she was acting. But that does no good.
Everyone has their own path, in its own timing. Our job is to have compassion for where someone is in their journey, not to judge where they are. This is key to not becoming stuck at this stage in the journey.
