Your Personal Healing is a Service to the World

Inspiration + Love

Much of my personal story began through a search for purpose. I was looking to find what it was that I specifically was meant to be doing in the world, so that, in the words of Oprah, “I could get to the business of doing it.”

I believed fulfillment, peace and happiness lie in aligning with my purpose.

There was only one problem—I didn’t know what my purpose was or how to figure it out.

This proved to be quite frustrating, since the answer to feeling fulfilled, peaceful and happy seemed to lie in knowing your purpose. It was as if the answer to all that I was seeking lie just outside of my reach.

I was ready to “get to the business of doing what I was sent here to do”, but I didn’t know what that was.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

Our primary purpose is to awaken. It is to show up and do the necessary inner work to shift our identification with who we are from ego (fear) to spirit (love). This is our inner purpose and it may or may not be directly reflected in …

I’m Donating 100% of This Week’s Coaching Fees To Help Build a School in Guatemala!

Inspiration + Love

I love reading inspiring stories about people who are ignited with a passion to make a difference. I’m especially drawn to stories about educating children in the developing world. It’s what led me to spend close to a year volunteering as a teacher in Guatemala in 2010.

Most recently I read The Promise of a Pencil, which chronicles Pencils of Promise founder, Adam Braun’s, journey from initially depositing $25 into a bank account to begin raising funds to build just one school in Laos to building more than 200 schools in the developing world, in less than five years!

He has sparked one of the fastest growing movements to engage people, young and old, regardless of status, to take action towards doing the impossible: making education accessible to the 57 million kiddos who currently lack access to schools across the globe.

I feel set on fire with a desire to help. (His book tends to have that affect on people!)

Instead of asking for donations, as I’ve done in the past, I’m donating 100% of my coaching fees for any sessions booked between today and this Sunday, April 6th to …

You’re Here To Love + Share Your Gifts

Inspiration + Love

I believe that we’re in the middle of a collective spiritual awakening. I feel it in my personal life and see it happening all around me at micro and macro levels. There’s not only a shift in people’s hearts, but there’s a shift in the collective response to those who take the leap of faith and begin living from their hearts.

Twenty and thirty year-olds are challenging taking what was once considered the safe and secure route and are venturing out on their own to create massive change in the world. Their work is being energized and magnetized such that full-on movements are being created.

In the past, people focused first on accumulating, then giving. They’d spend years in a state of accumulating before they began to experience an inner transformation where this state was questioned. However, today these purpose-driven questions are occurring at younger and younger ages.

The spiritual cycle of awakening is being moved up as part of the collective shift that is occurring. We’re no longer solely focused on insulating ourselves against the world through comfortable jobs and deep savings. Instead, we’re using the gifts we’ve been …

Aligning Your Inner & Outer Self

Love + Shifting out of Ego and Into Spirit

Ultimately, a spiritual journey is about bringing our inner and outer self into perfect alignment. This happens when we no longer protect, control or project self-images. When this occurs, all that extends outward is fully rooted in our inner self—love and light.

But up until this point, we’ve got work to do to bridge this gap. We have to look for the places in ourselves where we’re trying to protect certain self-images, understand the motivations behind this desire to protect and work to heal those inclinations.

Sometimes this process occurs on a one-by-one, case-by-case scenario by looking at the root-causes behind each image that we’re trying to protect, whereas other times the collective urge to protect can be healed, in one fell swoop, when the overall structure of that part of the ego is understood.

I recently learned that there are many different ways that the ego continues to hold itself together, while it’s being cracked apart…

Think of the ego as a solid concrete pillar:

For some people, there may be a complete dent on one side of the pillar, leaving the other side intact.

For others, there may …
