The Magic of God/The Universe
I have a fun, cute story to share with you on the magic of The Universe/God and changing the energy connected with something through new intentions…
Back in January I did a yard sale (as some context, I sell other people’s stuff so I’m not personally attached to the things I receive and sell), where a framed, vintage western picture made it into the sale.
I was initially just excited tot sell it, but, as the day rolled on, my mom began to paint a picture of using it to decorate our mantle with a winter western theme.
We decided we’d do that if it didn’t sell.
As the day rolled on, a few people asked about it, but no takers.
I began to think it wasn’t going to sell and started becoming attached to the vision my mom has painted…but I didn’t remove it from the sale.
Then, as I was packing up, a car pulled in and a woman got out who had her sights set on the picture (she must have been at the sale earlier).
Since it was still sitting in the sale, I couldn’t not sell it to her.
As we did the exchange, I felt a big contraction, not wanting to let it go, but, at the same time, feeling the sell was already in motion!
The picture and mom’s idea about the mantle theme stayed on my mind, so a few days later I started searching for it online…like how hard could it be to find on the world wide web?!
I went as far as setting an alert on eBay for the picture. (It’s been six weeks and I’ve yet to be notified)!
Now my mom and I are really attached to this idea so we start going on little outings to antique stores looking for a western picture that fits our vision.
After one excursion, you may remember me sharing in an earlier message that I came home with a cute kitty cat picture…quite to opposite of our intention of finding a western pic!
When I shared a story on social media about our hunt for a western pic, a friend of mine from high school messaged me saying she had one that looked similar to the one I’d sold in my yard sale (exciting!).
She was sick at the time so she wasn’t able to send a picture of what she was offering.
It was exciting to think things could unfold through her, but, in letting her follow up when she felt better, mom and I continued our weekly outings hunting for the perfect pic.
We came close a couple times, but they still weren’t right.
Our little excursions went on for weeks to no avail (at least in that department, lol).
Well, a little over a week ago, my friend from high school messaged me with a picture of the framed western pic she had…annnndddd it.was.perfect!!
Here’s our mantle full decorated in our western theme with a close up of the picture I received from her:
She shared with me that she didn’t have a great connection to the picture, because the person who’d given it to her had been mean to her.
I immediately got more excited about the unfolding of this story, because we were changing the energy associated with the picture!
Her desire to pay it forward was shifting the energy of the picture from having a negative association to being tied to a beautiful act of kindness!
And I was THRILLED to receive it!
In terms of my initial intention to find a western pic for the mantle, God/The Universe had been working in my favor the entire time, even though it didn’t look like it was happening with each outing in search of it.
The picture was actually offered to me weeks, maybe a month, before it fully materialized in my reality…meaning it was already there, just not quite visible.
I think this is true for so many of our intentions.
We risk using the “failed outings to the antique stores” as evidence that says it’s not happening, instead of trusting the thing (in this case, a picture) is already on its way to us.
Or if it’s something you’re creating, you’ve planted a seed and you use a lack of visible proof to say nothing is happening under the surface, when, in fact, it is.
When it comes to the energy you associate with things, remember that you always have the power to shiftsomething that has a negative association to something beautiful by creating a new energy (intention) that surrounds the item…just like my friend did with the framed picture.
