There’s Power, Peace & Purpose In Understanding Your Reactive Nature

Personal Responsibility

I value space in my life.

Space to contemplate.

Space to move slowly.

I don’t like to rush or to feel frantic.

I don’t want to be buried under unprocessed thoughts about situations or relationships.

This is what leads to mounting stress.

Inner and outer space allows me to process what occurs in my life as it happens versus getting buried under unprocessed incident after another.

Space also allows me to meditatively think about lots of interesting things from the specific framework I see life through.

I look at a variety of things, from micro everyday occurrences to the macro events occurring in the world, from this particular lens.

These types of thoughts aren’t stressful.

They’re not bogged down by emotional baggage.

They’re contemplative.

Space slows down our reactive nature because we have time (space) to see things from multiple views (which is also the extension of grace), instead of reacting from a singular view that’s trapped in stress, fear and worry….or some triggered insecurity.

If your inner space is densely packed with stressful, worrisome, fearful thoughts, there’s not a lot of space to see and process your own, reactive nature.

With no space or understanding of your own reactive nature, there’s no room to extend grace to others by holding more expansive view points that include what may be causing their reaction or belief system.

Without inner spaciousness, your lens of the world has a tendency to remain very myopic and reactionary….absorbed and experienced through the unconscious part of your nature.

Space allows us to become more self-aware and conscious.

It moves us up the evolutionary path of awakening.

It allows us to calibrate more and more to the fruits of the spirit.

Our light becomes more potent just by being in a more conscious state.

Love flows more freely.

Wisdom deepens.

Compassion expands and extends.

And the world benefits.

Simply because we began to value inner spaciousness and all that it allows us to discover.

Give yourself space to understand your own emotions, reactions and behaviors.

Give yourself space to process the things that occur in your life.

Give yourself space to see where another may be coming from in their experience.

Give yourself space to heal whatever triggers your insecurities and causes your reactive nature to flare up.

As you create more inner spaciousness (by healing all the ways your energy was tied up in your reactive nature), use the freed up space to contemplate more aspects of life.

Use it to extend more fruits of the spirit – unconditional love, wisdom, grace, compassion, kindness, forgiveness, gentleness, etc. – by simply allowing these qualities to flow through you. (This is the goal and purpose of life as I see it).

If you desire help creating more inner space within yourself by recognizing, understanding and processing your reactive nature, especially if there’s a specific situation or theme that keeps taking you out and you desire to resolve it within yourself, I’m currently offering one-on-one coaching sessions for $115 an hour. (Email me at shannacovey@gmail.com to discuss further.)

There’s true power (and peace) in understanding your inner nature.

Always Shine Brightly,

Shanna
