Setting (and holding) Intentions

When setting and holding an intention, the only thing you ever surrender to is your need for the thing you desire, never the desire itself.

This is a super important distinction because not knowing the difference between the two can severely block the manifestation process.

Failing to surrender to ‘need’ creates an energy of attachment that stems from a scarcity belief in lack, which results in a manifestation of more lack.  Super frustrating, especially when you don’t realize what’s going on.

And if you’re attempting to manifest something but think the key is to surrender to the desire itself out of the confused belief that desire conflicts with the spiritual principle of acceptance, The Universe can’t get a clear read on what it is you want to manifest.

It hears: ‘I want this but you know, if that’s not meant to be, then okay, it’s better to be accepting of what comes my way / is meant to unfold’. The energy around this intention is totally loosy-goosey…there’s not a strong energetic intention for The Universe to get behind so it reflects this indifference through a very ‘meh’ response.

And it positions us to be passive participants in life, which completely overrides our capacity to tap into one of our deepest truths…that we are truly creative beings. Something The Universe / God wants us to know and explore as a natural state of our being.

I was most recently caught in this ‘indifference through spiritual acceptance thinking’ and both my creative expression and passion /  excitement for life suffered.

Actively participating in the creation process is not only a fun and exciting way to live, but it’s also one of the quickest ways to flush up and heal all lack beliefs….something that’s crucial to all aspects of a spiritual journey.

As we heal our lack beliefs, we become more and more rooted in our natural state as powerful creators.

Always Shine Brightly,

Shanna
