The Work of Our Life: Rising In Consciousness
In April 2011, I embarked on an inner journey that would, unbeknownst to me at the time, impact the rest of my life.
It was a clear demarcation, in my life, regarding how I once saw life to how I now see life (both my life specifically and life in general).
It impacted how I saw myself, life, my purpose…everything.
And it started with a book.
A book my soul called into my awareness, knowing it was time to remember what I came here to do, be and contribute.
The book was A Course in Miracles.
This isn’t meant to promote A Course in Miracles as the end all be all.
It was simply my point of entry into a journey of rising in consciousness.
There are many entry points to this journey. Each designed to call to the souls that are meant for that particular one.
However, the journey of awakening (or rising in consciousness or abiding in the fruits of the spirit or extending more and more from love and wisdom) is, ultimately, a universal one.
Especially when it comes to directly understanding how consciousness works.
There is a path towards inner peace, personal power (and beyond), wisdom, love, joy, etc. and one that goes into the opposite direction through fear, guilt, resentment, bitterness, anger, etc. (i.e., all reactions from ego).
Where you choose to orient yourself on this trajectory directly impacts how you experience yourself, relationships with others and life in general.
You relate to life through your position on this trajectory.
Fortunately, you’re in control of where you position yourself on this trajectory and how you orient yourself towards life.
However, in not recognizing your control over this, you may have inadvertently outsourced your position and orientation to the pervading thoughts, beliefs and ideas you’ve been exposed to.
Many have done this. I did this.
It’s what’s currently making up the collective unconscious that’s running the masses.
It’s why the reactive ego is still so prevalent in our experience.
It’s why we people please.
And it’s also why we react aggressively when we feel slighted, threatened, overlooked, etc.
It’s why we pick up coping mechanisms to protect us from feeling disappointed, slighted, overlooked, disrespected, etc.
AND it’s an opportunity to rise up.
To see through our unconscious patterns and step into greater personal power.
To feel more peace inside ourselves and expand this peace to our relationships through the standards we hold for how we interact with others and what behavior we’re willing to accept and not accept in our immediate space.
I created two separate digital guides to help you see through unconscious patterns related to people pleasing and reacting to unmet expectations.
Each guide shows us how to understand our reactive nature (ego) so we can begin to take responsibility for it.
We can’t rise in consciousness if we’re unwilling to take responsibility for our perceptions and behaviors that are functioning out of our own unconsciousness.
And we can’t take responsibility for these things if we don’t understand what (innocently) caused them or what we can do differently.
I share all of this in both guides, regarding the scenarios that relate to the subject of each guide.
Most people stay stuck in unconscious patterns (that don’t serve them) because they don’t know an alternative choice.
I’m showing you the alternative choice – the choice that leads to greater inner peace and personal power – in each guide.
Most people are too scared to look at their unconscious patterns (or the reasons for them) because they believe it’ll reveal a permanent truth about them.
Unconsciousness is never a permanent truth.
In fact, it’s the opposite of the truth of your nature.
Not looking at these patterns is staying blind to them while they continue to disrupt your inner peace and detract from your personal power. It’s not helping you (or those you interact with).
If you want to rise up, you have to be willing to look.
It’s not near as scary as you think. In fact, that’s just ego trying to stay alive in your awareness by keeping you from looking. Don’t let ego win when so much more is available for you to know about yourself.
We have to learn to objectively look at our reactive nature (ego) if we desire to clearly see where and how it’s operating.
This sets us up to see and choose another more viable option that stems from peace, personal power and spiritual and emotional maturity.
Both guides seamlessly lead you through this process of looking (without being scared) and choosing new ways of seeing and being that better support your inner peace and personal power.
The People Pleaser’s Guide To Reclaiming Your Personal Power gets to the roots of why we people please and takes us on a journey of reclaiming the personal power we outsourced to others through these unconscious fears.
My most current guide, Managing Unmet Expectations, helps us understand why we react poorly to unmet expectations (disappointment/frustration), what can be done about our reaction as well as how to move forward with our expectations without controlling or micromanaging others.
The Guide To Managing Unmet Expectations is currently $22 but will incrementally increase in price over the next few weeks, ultimately landing at $44.
I’ve also temporarily reduced the price of The People Pleaser’s Guide To Reclaiming Your Personal Power to $33 (it’s normally $44).
To me, the work of rising in consciousness is the work of our life.
I’ve dedicated my life to both doing this work in my own life and helping others do the same.
My intention for both guides is to play a significant role in your journey of rising in consciousness.
May it be to you what A Course in Miracles was to me…a solid point of entry for rising in your own conscious awareness.
Always Shine Brightly,
Shanna
