My Stance On “Being Woke”

Shifting out of Ego and Into Spirit

As someone who has been on a path of awakening for a long time, the mainstream idea of being Woke has never made sense to me.

It’s extremely polarizing, which makes it tribal in nature and highly unaccepting of “the other” by being steeped in righteous hate and anger.

Part of the Woke ideology is to no longer “otherize”, yet it’s highly focused on hating the group it’s trying to defeat, which is the very definition of “otherizing.”

It calls for unity but only under its terms.

And if you fall outside these terms, you’re either banned from the tribe or, more likely, were never meant to be apart of the tribe.

This is not unity, nor can it ever lead to true unity consciousness.

The Woke movement aggressively pits a group of people against another through righteous anger.

Its source is hate and division, not love and unity.

If you truly desire love and unity, I encourage you to deeply question any “us against them” mentality you’re agreeing to as the dynamics of “us against them” can never lead to unity.

Instead, an “us against them” mentality only serves to foster the crystallization of righteous hate in you, where you absorb the very pattern you’re trying to stop in another.

It shifts the contents from one expression of “us against them” to a new pattern of “us against them” in you.

This can only lead to continued cycles of separation, division and hate, where the oppressed and oppressor keep shape shifting over and over again.

Given the never ending nature of an “us against them” pattern, it can never free you individually or us collectively.

Which also means righteous anger can never be the answer, since it can’t free you from an “us against them” pattern and, instead, will only serve to keep you bound to these patterns.

To help break your identification with an “us against them” pattern I recommend questioning the satisfaction you feel through righteous anger…

Where could that satisfaction stem from except through the idea that safety is felt through the attack and crucifixion of another?

Meaning the very thing you despise in another (the perceived crucifying they do) is the only thing that satisfies you (their crucifixion).

This is not unity.

This is not Woke.

It’s destroying in the name of separation and death, instead of unifying through love and oneness.

If there’s any resonance with what’s been shared, ask yourself:

Who benefits from spewing massive hatred in the world in the name of unity?

Surely not you.

Surely not humanity and our true awakening

The mere recognition that an “us against them” mentality can NEVER serve to truly awaken you will put you on the path to what can lead to such an awakening.

It will also keep you from being manipulated by any “us against them” pattern that claims it’s the answer to hate.

This recognition is the main intention for today’s message. From there, you’ll call forth the teachings that speak to you of unity in the exact packaging that’s meant for you to learn through.

For me that’s been A Course in Miracles (written through Christ Consciousness) and advanced souls like my friend Waris Faridi who passed a few years back and Bentinho Massaro’s self-realization teachings.

Until then, whispers for unity will fall on deaf ears. And the cycles of separation, division and hate will continue.

May we each hear the call to unity and have the courage to open ourselves up to the true healing that leads to the conscious recognition of our shared oneness.

It will be the highest service to humanity any of us commit ourselves to.

Always Shine Brightly,

Shanna
