The 6 Step Process to Awakening
The goal of all spiritual endeavor is to completely transform the contents of your consciousness by fully removing all traces of egoic consciousness, so that your divine self can flourish in its place.
You are the steward of all that is allowed to flourish (or die) within the contents of your consciousness…whether you’re conscious of this role or not.
Step 1: Accept responsibility for this role. In doing so, you become a conscious participant in the process of awakening.
Step 2: Know what needs to flourish and what needs to die. Half the battle is knowing where to direct your efforts.
Step 3: Foster what needs fostering + Weed out what needs weeding. The other half of the battle is acting on this knowing.
Step 4: Repeat until all traces of egoic consciousness have been removed. This is what must be done over and over to fully transform the contents of your consciousness. With each seed of egoic consciousness that is removed, space is made for your divine self to blossom in its place. This must be done until 100% of the contents of your consciousness are based in your divine self. Do not stop short of this…keep going until all traces of egoic consciousness have been removed. You can do this. And if you need help with a particular situation, I’d be honored to share my insight.
Step 5: Release yourself from the struggle. It is over. Knowing when to do this takes mindfulness. And it’s a step that cannot be skipped. You have to know when to let go of the identification with the struggle between ego and spirit or else you’ll unconsciously keep the fight going as a part of what you identify with as your reality. This is not your reality. It is only the journey (in perception) to it. Reality lies beyond this struggle.
Step 6: Accept the peace that passes beyond all understanding as your reality. All of your inner work culminates in consciously experiencing this state of consciousness as your reality. Do not settle for anything short of this state of consciousness. Keep going until you reach this point. Nothing that falls short of this will do. It’s why you commit to awakening.
My entire body of work focuses on steps 1-4, with the intention of reaching steps 5 + 6.
I know steps 1-4 work, because I live them in my daily journey…
Most of the time it’s the slow slogging that incrementally inches you closer to fully transforming the contents of your consciousness, but ever so often a big boon occurs. And, in an instant, a huge sheet of egoic consciousness drops from your awareness…just like that, the way you previously saw the world changes (for the better)!
Feeling and experiencing these changes in my own journey is why I’m so passionate about creating and sharing a body of work that focuses on steps 1-4. It’s why I wrote A Call to the Heart. It’s why I write a blog each week. It’s why I keep showing up for my own journey.
Step 6 is not only possible; it’s a part of your destiny. Why delay knowing the peace that passes all understanding any longer? You’ve got this. Just start and stay committed.
If you’ve been following me awhile, I want to know…
How have you benefited from focusing on steps 1-4 in your own journey? Has it changed your relationship with yourself or possibly someone else? Has it given you peace of mind where you previously experienced frustration or resentment?

To sticking to it,
