Ready, Aim, Fire!
When it comes to starting anything, especially a business or passion project, the idea is to go “ready, aim, fire” and be on your way.
But often people get stuck in ready, aim…aim…aim…you get the point.
What I’ve observed around people who get their ideas off the ground and make progress is they fire.
Whether they spend some time getting ready and a little time aiming or simply fire and then aim before firing again, the commonality is they fire.
But even with the ability to fire, those who get something off the ground in a sustainable way have a few other things embedded in their energy…
They’re clear on their vision and they have a clear point of view, style and/or creative direction associated with their vision.
Underneath this clarity is confidence.
They don’t need a million outside opinions when it comes to owning their vision.
(They may ask questions when it comes to the details around certain aspects of executing an idea, but not on the vision itself).
Their attitude towards problems and obstacles is “it’s figureoutable”. This means they’re solution oriented instead of problem inhibited.
They believe it will work instead of wondering if …
